Fr. Rafael Capó

Fr. Rafael Capó is a priest of the Archdiocese of Miami. Born in Puerto Rico and ordained a priest in 1996, he is Director of the US Bishops Southeast Office and Pastoral Institute for Hispanic Ministry (SEPI). With degrees in Education, he has served as Biology teacher, campus minister, vocations director, and school president. In Mexico and Italy, he ministered to street children and immigrant youth. With a Doctorate in Practical Theology, he teaches Theology. He participates in all major organizations of Hispanic Ministry, serves the Church in the coordination of this ministry. Fr. Capó is a member of the USCCB’s Leadership Team for the National Encuentro of Hispanic Ministry and is also a member of the WYD National Advisory Team. He serves as Advisor to the National Network of Pastoral Juvenil Hispana (La Red) and is actively present in social media with an emphasis in ministry to young people and a calling to fitness of body, mind, and spirit. Fr. Capó is a Papal Missionary of Mercy by appointment of Pope Francis.
