Young people are creative, innovative and passionate about things that matter. In this workshop, ministry leaders will learn how to take their summer mission trip to the next level once they are home. The real work of the mission trip happens in their own communities - and they can affect lasting change!

  • Session Outcome 1:Particpants will look at the components of a great mission trip and how they affect youth, families, parish and community.The concept of change making, components of social analysis and social innovatio will be introduced.When young people are on fire with service - the next step is making change!
  • Session Outcome 2:Particpants will try their hand at social innovation. Using a simple process, they will see a social issue through from problem to solution. Learning the steps and finding ways to engage young people every step of the way is fun, exciting and equps everyone to be able to make a difference!
  • Session Outcome 3:Looking ahead at summer mission trip options, participants will be able to prepare their youth for service elsewhere and back home. Making change - social innovation is taking the best of young people and empowering them to do big and important things! Resouces, and online support offered.
