ALL ARE WELCOME; Beyond Declaration to Manifestation

We've come a long way, but look at the news, both recent and past, and it's clear we've a long way to go. It begins with each and all of us. To be a church that embodies the transforming and heroic hospitality of Jesus, we must admit where and how we miss the mark, and then respond faithfully to solutions that bring and celebrate union.

  • Session Outcome 1:We will learn that we are ONE, in action, not just words, prayers and songs. We will learn to observe and acknowledge our own prejudices, subtle and overt, and systemic prejudice in our community.
  • Session Outcome 2:We will acquire and even create tools with which to transform prejudices in ourselves and our community. We will use those tools with humility and compassion.
  • Session Outcome 3:We will value our common ground, and see our differences as God's way of inviting us to a deeper communion with others. In this, we will become a more authentic community that is TRULY welcoming, hospitable and a sign of Christ in the world today.
